At DD Aesthetics Academy, we pride ourselves in offering two easy steps to your Botulinum Toxin Certification.   You will need to complete 2 hours of didactic in class learning and 2 hours of hands-on, closerly supervised training.  After this has been completed, you will receive your certification.

Intro to Toxins:

Course Description:

This course is designed to provide medical professionals with the foundational knowledge and skills necessary to safely and effectively administer Botulinum Toxin injections for cosmetic purposes. The curriculum covers essential topics such as patient assessment,  injection techniques, product knowledge, and practice guidelines.

Course Duration:

The course is consists of one half day of training with a total of 4 hours of instruction and hands-on training.

Prerequisites:

Participants must have a valid medical license - (Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners and Registered Nurses). Prior experience with injectables is not required for this specific course.

Course Outline:

Module 1: Introduction to Toxin

Overview of Toxin and its mechanism of action

FDA approval and common indications

Safety considerations and contraindications

Module 2: Patient Assessment and Consultation

Patient history and medical evaluation

Patient goals and expectations

Informed consent process

Module 3: Injection Techniques

Anatomy of facial muscles relevant to Toxin

Proper injection techniques and needle selection

Common injection sites and dosing guidelines

Module 4: Product Knowledge

Toxin formulations and concentrations

Comparison with other injectable products

Off-label uses and potential risks

Module 5: Practice Guidelines and Complications

Post-injection care and management

Recognizing and managing complications

Malpractice considerations and liability

Module 6: Hands-On Training

Supervised practice sessions
